History
Korean Bakeries W.L.L. is a partnership company with limited Liability, owned by Mr. Saeed Mohamed A.A Al Hajri and his Son, established in the year 1983 at New Rayyan. Factory was situated at New Rayyan, at company's own building with a plinth area of 1600 sq. mts. Factory was fully equipped with all modern amenities of the period, maintaining a bench mark standard in hygiene and cleanliness. Producing bread and allied products by using special skill and expertise of craft baking applying in the industrial production, thus upholding the traditional baking method, it grew to a synonym for quality.
Future
The idea of diversification took birth from the thought and commitment to grow beyond what the delighted customers expected from us. We materialised the idea of our expansion plans with an investment around QR. 75 million for building and fully automatic production line from Germany. Currently our investment plans are for setting up our own exclusive outlets across cities of Qatar.Food consumption in Qatar is projected to grow at 6.3% during 2011–15, the highest among GCC countries; moreover Qatar currently meets 90 percent of its food requirement through imports.
Since winning the bid for football world cup 2022, Qatari government have an infrastructural spending plan worth $50bn, which likely to boost the demand for food mainly due to the increased needs for expatriates workers to support the developmental plans. Qatar National Food Security Programme (QNFSP) expects to attain 60 –70 percent food security by 2023, which caters a bright future to investment plans in food industry in the coming years.
We foresee our future as bright as our state did in recent years with unparalleled prosperity. We again proclaim, we will strive to cater the needs of customer with modernization and preservation of tradition, which was always the motto of Korean Bakeries.
